Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account or using Perfume Orbit you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the service.
Account and password
An account is required to manage a collection and use the collection features. The public website and guides can be viewed without an account.
You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for activity carried out under your account. Tell us if you detect unauthorized use.
Permitted use of the service
Perfume Orbit is offered for keeping an inventory of your own collection and organising it into rotations, for personal, non-commercial use.
Perfume Orbit is currently provided without charge.
Prohibited conduct
- Accessing, or attempting to access, another person's collection or data.
- Making bulk automated requests to the API or the service.
- Interfering with the operation of the service or circumventing its security measures.
- Submitting content you do not have the right to submit.
Perfume Orbit images and visual content
Unless expressly stated otherwise, the photographs and other visual content created by Perfume Orbit are owned by Perfume Orbit and protected by applicable intellectual property law. Users are granted only a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable permission to view this content within the website and the application.
Without Perfume Orbit's prior written authorization, the following are not permitted:
- Downloading, copying, publishing, distributing or reselling the images.
- Using them on other websites, applications, shops, marketplaces, social networks, advertisements or publications.
- Displaying them from another site by hotlinking, embedding or framing.
- Extracting them by scraping, automation or bulk collection systems.
- Incorporating them into databases or datasets, or using them to train, evaluate or develop artificial intelligence systems.
- Modifying them, creating derivative works, removing attributions or ownership information, or using them commercially.
Only the temporary technical copies automatically made by the browser, and necessary in order to view the service, are permitted. These restrictions do not affect uses that applicable law permits and that cannot be restricted by contract.

Intellectual property and trademarks
The code, design, text, logo and other elements created by Perfume Orbit are protected by applicable intellectual property law.
Third-party trademarks, trade names, packaging designs and logos belong to their respective owners and are used solely for identification and descriptive purposes. Perfume Orbit is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any fragrance house.
Contributions to the catalogue
Contributions include photographs and also the names, descriptions, characteristics and other information you submit about a fragrance or a house.
By submitting a contribution, you confirm that you have the right to submit it. You must not submit photographs or text copied from shops, brands, search engines, social networks or other websites without the rights holder's permission.
You keep ownership of what you contribute. By submitting it, you grant Perfume Orbit a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, review, technically adapt, display and distribute the contribution within the shared catalogue. The license is used only to operate and maintain the service, and does not permit use in external advertising campaigns without additional permission.
Perfume Orbit may refuse or remove a contribution where there is a reasonable claim regarding its rights.
Approved contributions may remain in the catalogue after you close your account, because catalogue records and other users' collections may rely on them. Contributions still awaiting review are deleted along with the account.
Moderation and removal of content
Contributions to the catalogue are reviewed before becoming visible to other users. Perfume Orbit may refuse, edit or remove any content that breaches these terms or that is subject to a reasonable complaint.
Availability and limitation of liability
The catalogue is populated by users, so an entry's details — notes, concentration, year — may contain errors. The service is provided "as is" and is not guaranteed to be available uninterrupted or free of faults.
Suspension or closure of accounts
Perfume Orbit may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms.
You can close your account at any time from your account settings. Closing your account ends access to the account and begins the deletion process described in the Privacy policy.
Changes to these terms
These terms may change. Where a change is significant, notice will be given within the service, and the date shown above always indicates the latest version.
